SGA creates Student Organization Achievement and Recognition (SOAR) Award

Legislation was passed by the Student Government Association in an effort to more consistently recognize outstanding student achievements.

As part of this initiative four awards will be given out at the end of each month starting at the end of November, then picking up again in February and continuing throughout the spring.

The awards are: one student award focusing on achievement and leadership, one organization award, rewarding a group who has modeled the way for and collaborated with other organizations on campus, one program award, rewarding a program or event that had a large positive impact on campus and was student run, and finally one student or program advisor award.

The nomination deadline is November 15th. Nominations can be made on the SGA website under the Organization Council tab.
