Nine elondocs students traveled to Research Triangle Park Sunday evening to volunteer during UNC-TV's fund drive.
The students collected $7,395 in donations for public television, took a tour of the facilities and met Assistant General Manager Gail Zimmerman. Students Heather Cassano, Sean Dolan, Mason Sklut, Katherine Wise, Olivia Pohl, Emma Kwiatkowski, Devon Gailey, Bia Jurema and Mary Johnson attended and are members of the School of Communications’ elondocs production program.
elondocs is a community of students, faculty and filmmakers interested in producing high-quality documentaries for screening and distribution.
elondocs sponsors the elondocs production program, supports the work of students who have completed the program, offers screenings of well-known documentaries and fosters collaborations with other programs. In keeping with Elon’s goal for student learning, all work includes student participation. Communications assistant professor Nicole Triche is the group’s adviser.
