Elon Dining Earth Week Activities

Join Elon Dining in celebrating the 43rd anniversary of Earth Day by attending or participating in one of our events.

Tuesday, April 16: Join us at a special “Zero Waste” College Coffee and learn about what Elon Dining does to help the environment.

Wednesday, April 17: “Clean Plate Awards” at Lakeside Dining Hall – Get a prize for cleaning your plate and leaving  no waste! 11a.m. – 1:30 p.m. while supplies last.

Thursday, April 18: Farmer’s Market at Elon Community Church – Purchase a solar oven baked cookie from the Campus Kitchen table! All proceeds go to the CKEU. Elon Dining is donating the solar oven and the cookie dough.

Monday, April 22: Earth Day Local Lunch at Colonnades Dining Hall – 11 a.m. – 2 p.m. $10.25 or 1 meal swipe for an all-you-care-to-eat NC fresh meal.

All Week Activities:

Earth Day Resolutions – Make your Earth Day Resolutions on the pledge boards in the dining locations by signing your name by the initative you plan to do. 

Earth Week Photo Contest – Submit pictures to nelson-katie@aramark.com of the campus that best portray sustainability for a chance to win a mountain bike. The photos can be of nature, they can be abstract, or they can be of sustainability in action. All photos must be submitted to nelson-katie@aramark.com by Friday, April 12. All submitted photos will be displayed on the Elon Dining Facebook Page so the campus can vote on thier favorite photo. The photographer with the most votes, “likes”, will win a mountain bike!
