A medical provider will now be available on Friday mornings at the Faculty/Staff Wellness Center.
Employees feeling under the weather don’t have to wait in a doctor’s office to get some help.
The Faculty/Staff Wellness Center has medical providers who can evaluate and treat minor illnesses, such as flu, colds and infections, as well as minor injuries. They also can prescribe medications as needed.
While the Wellness Center staff can’t take the place of a primary care doctor, they can help manage diabetes, high blood pressure, cholesterol, asthma, arthritis and other chronic diseases.
Appointments are for employees age 18 and older and their dependents if they are covered under Elon’s insurance, however, insurance will not be billed for care received within the Wellness Center and there is no co-pay.
The center is located on south campus at 301 S. O’Kelly Ave. in the R.N. Ellington Center for Health and Wellness. Medical provider appointments are from 9 a.m. to noon Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday; 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. on Thursday; and 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Friday.
