On Wednesday, Nov. 13, 12-1:15 p.m. in Oaks 212, Dr. Karen Jo Shapiro will present an introduction to "Conflict Competence." This session is for new supervisors as well as supervisors who are interested in refreshing their skills.
Dr. Karen Jo Shapiro will present an introduction to “Conflict Competence” at noon on Nov. 13. She will facilitate a discussion on dealing with conflict which will include defining both conflict and conflict competence. Dr. Shapiro will also give a brief overview of the process of conflict dynamics. In addition, she will provide suggestions for both enhancing constructive responses and for preventing destructive responses to conflict. A buffet lunch will be provided for those who register. This session is for new supervisors as well as supervisors who are interested in refreshing their skills.
