This session is for “new” employees (those who have been at Elon less than one year). Dr. Karen Jo Shapiro will present an introduction to “Conflict Competence.” She will facilitate a discussion on dealing with conflict that will include defining both conflict and conflict competence. Dr. Shapiro will also give a brief overview of the process of conflict dynamics. In addition, she will provide suggestions for both enhancing constructive responses and for preventing destructive responses to conflict.
A buffet lunch will be provided for those who register.
