Professor Kevin O’Mara discusses why innovation is the key to modern business development in the publication "Chamber".
Kevin O’Mara, professor of management and executive director of the Doherty Center for Entrepreneurial Leadership, authored “The Innovation Imperative: Why Is It So Difficult?,” which appeared in the fall 2013 issue of the Cayman Islands Chamber of Commerce magazine “Chamber.”
The article addresses reasons why innovation has proven so difficult to develop in organizations despite universal acceptance as a critical imperative by business leaders, commentators and academics.
O’Mara has conducted workshops on innovation for the Cayman Island business community, the most recent held last month. He and Professor Art Cassill have led several study abroad courses to the Cayman Islands at the undergraduate and graduate levels.
