Angela Dalton G'13and her sixth grade class at Lincoln Academy in Greensborro were featured in the Greensboro News & Record because of the interactive methods used to study ancient Greece.
Students in Angela Dalton’s sixth-grade class at Lincoln Academy in Greensboro explored Greek history and mythology by creating Facebook pages, writing songs, developing a magazine and putting on a Greek fashion show.
Dalton, who received her masters of education from Elon in 2013, created the unit and taught many of the same activities during the Formative Learning Experience gifted camp at Elon last summer. She and her fellow teachers planned this unit back in November in order to energize their kids’ curiosity after they took end-of-grade tests.
