This workshop is designed for staff who supervise student workers (or plan to in the future) and how that mentoring experience can be further leveraged as a high impact practice. Using the University of Iowa’s GROW model (guided reflection on work), a review of intentional moments designed to engage students to reflect and make connections using their student employment opportunities will be presented. This will be followed by small group discussion of how Elon might move forward with such a model. More on Iowa’s Grow Model can be found here. A buffet lunch will be provided for those who register.
