The day will include a Global College Coffee and opportunities for the Elon community to show they believe in the university by making a gift.
In honor of Elon’s birthday, plans are under way for a daylong celebration that alumni, students, parents, faculty, staff and friends can be part of from around the world.
The day’s theme, “I Believe in Elon” calls for members of the university community to support Elon with a gift and help make March 10 the greatest day of giving in the university’s history.
The mobile-friendly Elon Day website will be updated early on March 10 to include a running total of gifts made in honor of Elon Day and leaderboards displaying the top campus funds and athletic programs that receive support. Gifts of all sizes and designations will count toward the total given during the campaign.
On-campus events include a Global College Coffee at 9:40 a.m. in Scott Plaza in front of Alamance Building, which will be livestreamed starting at 10 a.m. In addition, members of the university community can use the #ElonDay on social media to take part in the celebration.
