Senior B.F.A. Dance majors present 'continuance' – May 7-9

XVcollective presents: "continuance," A Collaborative Senior B.F.A. Thesis Dance Concert.

XVcollective consists of the 15 artists that make up the B.F.A. Dance Performance & Choreography Class of 2015. Their senior thesis dance concert, “continuance,” features original choreography and production design by the seniors themselves.

“continuance” is the culmination of ideas, movement invention, and artistry that has been developed throughout the 2014-15 school year. The evening length concert consists of three uninterrupted sections which explore the passage of time. Although each section refers to a different interpretation of time, the primary conceptual vision remains unwavering. It is XVcollective’s hope to leave the audience lingering in thoughts of time, reflection, and inspiration through the art form which has allowed them to transform from fifteen individuals into one collective artistic body.

The concert will run from May 7-9 in the Black Box Theatre of the Center for the Arts and has a run time of about 40 minutes. On Thursday, May 7, and Friday, May 8, there will be performances at 6 and 8 p.m. On Saturday, May 9, there will be performances at 4 and 6 p.m.

Admission is free. However, ticket reservations should be sent to xvcollective@gmail.com
