This is the only required orientation for departments starting the Writing Excellence Initiative this year.
We will review the WEI process and timeline, share writing outcomes and other materials from departments that have already begun the process, discuss assessment possibilities, explain resources available to assist departments and faculty leads (such as WEI grants and Writing Center Fellows), answer questions, and ask for feedback on ways the Center for Writing Excellence may support departments/faculty in their WEI work. Lunch will be served, so please RSVP to Rachel Branson by August 10 (rbranson2@elon.edu).
Intended Audience: Chairs of departments beginning their WEI work this year and faculty selected to take leadership roles within the department.
