Associate Professor of Education Stephen Byrd, Assistant Professor of Education  Jeffrey Carpenter, and Assistant Professor of Education Scott Morrison each presented at the North Carolina Association of Colleges of Teacher Education Fall Forum in Raleigh, N.C., on Sept. 24.

Miami Herald syndicated columnist Leonard Pitts Jr. delivered the 2015 Baird Pulitzer Prize Lecture on Thursday night where he shared insights about race, “personal responsibility” and how to foster social justice for all people.

With more than 500 high-definition security cameras positioned around campus, Elon University police have been able to solve crimes and effectively respond to safety issues.

Elon's chapter of Pi Mu Epsilon, the national mathematics honor society, and Elon's Statistics Club co-hosted a fun evening of pizza, prizes and math games on Thursday, Sept. 10.

The A.L. Hook Assistant Professor of Mathematics published a paper in the most recent volume of the International Journal of Pure and Applied Mathematics.  He also gave an invited talk at UNC-Greensboro on September 16, 2015.

The Life Entrepreneur Program is accepting applications through Sept. 30. This program is designed specifically for sophomore students interested in learning more about who they are, where they are going, and how they want to get there. Applications are due to Moseley 206 by 5 p.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 30. 

The first Elon University Poll of the fall shows that North Carolina Republicans currently favor real estate mogul Donald Trump more than other GOP presidential hopefuls in the race for the White House, but defeating Democrat Hillary Clinton in the Tar Heel State next fall may require another nominee.
