Elon Mens Rugby Club got its first win on Friday night under the lights on South Campus vs UNC-G.
Elon used a strong first half to go up 16-0 at half time. Elon over came a lot of penalties and played really well defensively. Senior Sean Murphy was all over the field, leading the team in tackles and winning the Co-Man of the Match. Again, Senior Quinn Hefferon won Co-Man of the Match scoring two trys and converting a couple penalties to lead the team to victory. Even though Quinn and Sean led the team it was a team victory with Captains Billy Kelly and Atticus Grinder leading the way. Matt Klauder, Patrick Keneally, and John Rhodes all played a big part in the victory as well.
