Dr. Carol Smith, Associate Professor of Health and Human Performance receives Honor Award for her meritorius contributions to the fields of physical education, health education, recreation and dance.
Dr. Carol Smith recieved the Honor Award at the Southern District Conference in Williamsburg, VA, held February 10-13, 2016, for her meritorius contributions to the fields of physical education, health education, recreation and dance in the Southern District of SHAPE Ameria. In addition to serving as Vice-President for the Division of Sport and Leisure, she has served on various boards and committees within the organization. In the National Association AAPAR, she was chair of the Council of Adventure and Outdoor Education/Recreation, and received the Julian W. Smith Award for outstanding contributions to the field of Outdoor Education/Recreation and Adventure Based Learning.
