Auditions to be held Aug. 30 for the internationally renowned Elon University Jazz Ensemble.
For 16 days this summer, the Elon University Jazz Ensemble wowed audiences all across Italy performing their very special brand of America’s music, jazz.
On Tuesday, Aug. 30, 2016 in Room 164 of the Center For The Arts, auditions will be held for this semester’s version of this terrific musical tradition. Trumpeters, trombonists, saxophonists, pianists, guitarists, bassists and drummers as well as vocalists are all encouraged to participate. Rehearsals will be held Tuesdays and Thursdays from 12:25 p.m. to 2:05 p.m.
Those wishing to audition should bring their instrument and be prepared to do a little bit of sight reading and some optional improvising.
