Student Health and Wellness Webinar for Parents : Supporting Student Success and Mental Wellbeing

The webinar will begin at 7 p.m. on Dec. 12. 

Supporting Student Success:  Tips for supporting student mental wellbeing and information regarding university programs and resources related to mental health, stress reduction, and resiliency

Hosts:  Marie Shaw, director of counseling services, and Whitney Gregory, assistant dean for student health & wellness and honor code

According to the National College Health Assessment, more than 85 percent of college students report they have felt overwhelmed by all they have to do. At Elon, students report stress, anxiety, lack of sleep and participation in extracurricular activities as the top issues that have impacted their academic performance.  As we enter exam week and the near the end of the term, staff from the R.N. Ellington Center for Health and Wellness will provide information for parents regarding supporting student mental wellbeing. Shaw and Gregory will be available to answer questions during and after the webinar.
