Beta Alpha Psi accounting and finance honor society inducts 16 new members

More than a dozen Martha and Spencer Love School of Business students were initiated into Elon’s chapter of the international honor organization.

Sixteen students were intiated into Beta Alpha Psi.
Sixteen students were initiated into Elon’s chapter of Beta Alpha Psi, the international honor organization for financial information students and professionals, on Feb. 7, 2017.

Ifeoma Udeh, assistant professor of accounting, was invited to speak at the annual spring interest meeting following the initiation. She spoke about the benefits of joining Beta Alpha Psi to over 80 students.

Elon’s Lambda Xi chapter has won the Student Government Association “Organization of the Year” Award twice in the past decade and was honored with the Rev. Richard McBride Campus and Greater Community Involvement Award for its commitment to volunteer work.

The chapter holds weekly meetings with guest speakers to provide insight into members’ potential industry or firm. Past guest speakers have included representatives from PwC, KPMG, EY, Deloitte, Lincoln Financial, RSM and Grant Thornton.
