Elon Music Theatre Class of 2017 makes NYC debuts at Feinstein's/54 Below

The 19 seniors of Elon MT17 made their NYC debuts in their cabaret "One Small Step."

On Tuesday, March 21, the 19 members of the Elon University Music Theatre Class of 2017 made their debuts in New York City at Feinstein’s/54 Below, performing a mix of contemporary and classic musical theatre hits.

Performing alongside them were alumni Ethan Andersen ’14 on the keys and Kennedy Caughell ’12. Andersen is currently the music director and conductor for Elon’s Music Theatre program. He also recently music directed and conducted the National Tour of “Saturday Night Fever,” “The Berenstain Bears” Off-Broadway, and his original musical, “Headvoice,” at the NYMF.

After graduation, Caughell joined the National Tour of “American Idiot” as Heather, toured the country as the Elphaba Standby in “Wicked,” and is currently performing in the Broadway cast of “Natasha, Pierre, & The Great Comet of 1812.”
