Futrell serves as clinician for Hunt Choral Festival

The Associate Professor of Music adjudicated and served as clinican for the Hunt Choral Festival

Director of Choral Activities Stephen A. Futrell was invited to adjudicate and serve as clinican for the Hunt Choral Festival.

The festival included 12 choirs from five high schools and was sponsored by the N.C. Music Educators Association. A noncompetitive festival, the intent was to provide students an opportunity to experience performing for an ajdudicator before going on to large ensemble music performance assessment.

In addition to adjudicating each choir’s performance, Futrell then worked with each choir in an open, master class forum. The festival was held April 11 at Hunt High School in Wilson, N.C.
