Through original compositions and arrangements, this quartet artfully fuses the western classical traditions in which they were trained with hip-hop, jazz, improv and Latin rhythms on which they were raised. With their extended percussive techniques, Sweet Plantain gives voice to a sound that is contemporary and multicultural.
