School of Education student nominated to the Homecoming Court

Lauren Ventresca is a senior education major from Chatham, New Jersey.  She in very involved in the school of education as a teaching fellow and school of education ambassador.

Additionally, she was treasurer and co-president of Future Educators Club and works in the Curriculum Resources Center. In her school placements, Ventresca enjoys working with children with disabilities and English Language Learners. She currently is working at Turning Point Elementary with students with emotional and behavior challenges.

In the past, she worked as an academic coach for Elon Academy which shaped her as a future teacher and why she is representing the organization on the Homecoming Court. Ventresca performs color guard at every football game and is the color guard captain in the Fire of the Carolinas, Elon’s marching band. Caroline Bowen, who is Lauren’s friend and also a teaching fellow will be escorting Lauren during the Homecoming football game.

The School of Education faculty and staff are proud of Ventresca for her nomination to the Homecoming Court and for representing the school so well.
