Elon University Dance Team placed 6th in the nation for Division I Hip Hop at the NDA 2019 competition.
The Elon University Dance Team competed at the NCA & NDA Collegiate Cheer and Dance Championship held April 4-6 in Daytona Beach, Florida, and placed sixth in the country in Division 1 Hip Hop competition. This competition brought together some of the best college cheer and dance programs to compete for a national title.
Elon first competed in 2017 at the NCA & NDA national championships. In 2018 and again this year, Elon was able to secure a spot and place in the Division 1 Hip Hop Finals. The preliminary competition included 11 D1 dance teams from across the country including Manhattan College, University of New York-Albany, Xavier University, Providence College, Weber State University, Sacred Heart and others. Only half of the teams were taken to the finals so this was a thrill for Elon’s program to compete and place at the Daytona Bandshell.
