DeLoach weighs in on COVID-19’s impact on economy

Steve DeLoach, Martha and Spencer Love Term Professor, professor of economics and chair of the Department of Economics was featured in a recent article about COVID-19 and its impact on the economy.

The Burlington Times-News featured insight from Professor of Economics Steve DeLoach in an article about how the COVID-19 pandemic could impact the U.S. job market and economy.

The article, “Who’s hiring? Will it last,” takes a look at hiring practices in a variety of industries during the pandemic. DeLoach weighed in on what the job market could look like following the crisis.

“We’ll know more in a few weeks for sure, but we’re really just at the beginning of this from an economic standpoint,” said DeLoach, who is also the Martha and Spencer Love Term Professor and chair of the Department of Economics.
