Jeffrey Pugh publishes article on U.S. Capitol siege

The article appeared in The Commons, the new online magazine of the Association of Public Religion and Intellectual Life.

Jeffrey C. Pugh, former Distinguished University Professor and Maude Sharpe Powell Professor of Religious Studies at Elon, has published an article about the recent rioting and violence at the U.S. Capitol.

“American Apocalypse” reflects on the events of Wednesday Jan. 6, in Washington DC. Pugh’s timely analysis appears on THE COMMONS, the new online magazine of the Association of Public Religion and Intellectual Life.

Author of six books on topics ranging from Dietrich Bonhoeffer (Religionless Christianity: Dietrich Bonhoeffer in Troubled Times, T&T Clark) to the creation of the apocalyptic imagination (Homebrewed Guides to Christianity: Theology After You’ve Been Left Behind, Fortress Press), he currently resides in Charlottesville, Virginia.
