Elon University Director of Choral Activities Stephen A. Futrell interviewed renowned vocal jazz educator Paris Rutherford for a chapter in a newly published book, “In Search of Inspiration: Interviews with Notable Choral Conductors.”
The chapter, entitled “Paris Rutherford: Vocal Jazz Pedagogy and Practice,” offers insight into Rutherford’s process, pedagogy and style in creating one of the nation’s most prominent vocal jazz programs at University of North Texas.
