Traffic will be detoured to University Drive via Phoenix Drive and North Williamson Avenue.
The northbound lane of North O’Kelly Avenue from Phoenix Drive to University Drive will be closed from May 30 to Aug. 16.
Northbound traffic will be routed west along Phoenix Drive to North Williamson Avenue and then north to University Drive. Signage and traffic control devices will be in place to guide motorists through the detour. The southbound lane of North O’Kelly and the entrance to The Inn at Elon will remain open to traffic during construction.
The closure is necessary for the construction of a new gateway tower at the North O’Kelly Avenue entrance to the Elon University campus.
