Professor of Mathematics Jeff Clark attended the Mathematical Association of America’s annual MathFest in Tampa, Florida, on Aug. 2 through Aug. 5.
While there he met briefly with members of the Committee on Minicourses which he chairs and then supervised the offering of minicourses for professional development at the conference.
In addition he spoke on “Seeing What’s Going On in Abstract Algebra,” about how to construct meaningful diagrams that advance student understanding and intuition about the subject.
