Active Citizen Series to host ‘Inside Town Hall’ with Elon mayor, town manager

Students are invited to this interactive dialogue on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. in the Moseley Center first floor.

The Kernodle Center for Civic Life’s Active Citizen Series will host “Inside Town Hall – A Conversation with Town of Elon Mayor Emily Sharpe and Town Manager Richard Roedner” on Thursday, Oct. 5 at 6 p.m. on the first floor of the Moseley Center.

Students will have the opportunity to engage in a conversation with Town of Elon Mayor Emily Sharpe and Town Manager Richard Roedner to learn about the inner workings of running a local municipality.

The Active Citizen Series is designed to cultivate the next generation of informed leaders who will help strengthen communities and shape our democracy. This event will allow students to gain a deeper understanding of how government works and to develop the necessary skills to engage in civil discourse across political divides.

The event is sponsored by the Kernodle Center for Civic Life, Elon Votes!, Elon Political Engagement Work Group, and Council on Civic Engagement.
