Announcement of new Elon Charlotte regional center, law program generates robust news coverage

News of the Elon University in Charlotte regional center garnered attention from multiple news outlets throughout North Carolina and nationwide.

Elon University announced the opening of a new regional center in Charlotte, North Carolina on Sept. 19. The annoucement also came with plans to offer a part-time Elon University School of Law Juris Doctor degree program — The Elon Law Flex Program.

Pending approval by the American Bar Association and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Commission on Colleges, law classes will begin in fall 2024. Applications to the program will begin to be accepted on Oct. 1, 2023.

The Elon University in Charlotte regional center, located at 330 W. Tremont Ave., also offers Elon undergraduate students majoring and minoring in sport management the opportunity to study and work in Charlotte.

The announcement generated significant news coverage from throughout the state and nationwide.
