Drawing from her extensive experience in education, Marna Winter's dedication to helping others lead healthier more balanced lives underscores the transformative power of combining education and well-being, enabling individuals to thrive both inside and outside the classroom.

Marna Winter, an esteemed educator and advocate for wellness in the educational community, brought a wealth of experience and insight to the WE LEAD Conference in September. The event, hosted by WE LEAD, aimed to empower women in education, equipping them to become influential leaders, navigate their career paths, and maintain a balanced and healthy life.

With a background spanning over two decades in education, Winter has honed her skills in communication, empathy, and understanding individual needs – qualities critical to effective teaching. Now, as a holistic health coach, she bridges the gap between education and wellness, applying pedagogical principles to wellness, and championing the importance of self-care and healthy habits for educators. Her journey showcases how education is not limited to traditional classroom settings.

In her presentation, “Putting You First: Creating Healthy Habits One Step at A Time,” Winter shared practical strategies and wisdom on how educators can prioritize their well-being. She addressed the unique challenges faced by women in educational leadership roles and provided actionable steps to maintain a balanced life while pursuing career aspirations.

“Women in education often carry tremendous responsibilities, not only as educators but as leaders and mentors. It’s essential that we prioritize self-care and build healthy habits to sustain our passion and impact,” said Winter. “I am honored to be part of the WE LEAD Conference, where we can collectively explore ways to empower women in educational leadership.”

The WE LEAD Conference serves as a beacon of support and mentorship for women in the educational sector. It strives to create a dynamic platform for women to explore their leadership potential, plan for their personal and professional futures, and enhance their skills in navigating the complex political landscapes and professional pipelines within the education field. By creating a supportive community of like-minded individuals, the conference aims to strengthen the voices and influence of women in education.
