Jordan Wels, Jules Levanti, and Amelia Bettati discuss their experiences with National Science Foundation internships
Every year, the National Science Foundation sponsors research experiences for undergraduates (NSF-REU) at institutions around the country. Three Elon physics and astronomy students – Jordan Wels, Jules Levanti and Amelia Bettati – accepted positions during the summer 2023 season. Wels, Levanti and Bettati spoke at the November 8 Physics Tea event about their experiences at the Illinois Institute of Technology, Caltech, and the Southwest Research Institute, respectively.
Students interested in NSF-REU experiences should visit the official website at nsf.gov.
Hosted weekly by the Department of Physics, Physics Tea promises engaging discussions, thought-provoking ideas and a delightful spread of refreshments. Open to all students, faculty and staff, this gathering is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow physics aficionados in a relaxed and informal setting.
