Astrophysics faculty, students discuss national meeting

A faculty and student panel discuss the recent American Astronomical Society national meeting at Astro/Physics Tea.

Students Jordan Wels and Sam Direnzo along with Professor Tony Crider and Associate Professor Chris Richardson, shared their experiences from the American Astronomical Society (AAS) meeting during the first Astro/Physics Tea of the spring semester. The panel discussed experiences with attending plenary sessions and invited talks, meeting with vendors in the exhibition hall and presenting iPosters.

Hosted weekly by the Department of Physics, Astro/Physics Tea promises engaging discussions, thought-provoking ideas and a delightful spread of refreshments. Open to all students, faculty, and staff, this gathering is the perfect opportunity to connect with fellow physics aficionados in a relaxed and informal setting. Meetings take place in the third-floor lounge of Innovation Hall at 3:20 p.m. on Wednesdays.
