Elon students to present undergraduate research at SURE on July 24

The Summer Undergraduate Research Experience presentations will be held on July 24 in Snow Atrium.

Fifty-six Elon University students will present their undergraduate research at the annual Summer Undergraduate Research Experience (SURE) poster presentation on July 24 in the Snow Atrium of Schar Hall.

The research symposium provides an opportunity for students to work with faculty and gain meaningful research experience over the summer, without the pressure of other courses during a typical semester. Students apply for the opportunity, which usually takes place during the summer before the junior or senior year.

Presentations encompass a variety of topics, including a documentary exploring the complicated, connected past of two Burlington churches; exploring new ways of teaching; exploring the classics from the city where they were written nearly 2,000 years ago; and much more.

There will be two separate poster presentations:

  • 9 to 10:15 a.m.
  • 10:30 to 11:45 a.m.

The Elon community is invited to attend and learn more about the students’ scholarship.
