Elon announces new partnership with CommuteNC for carpool access

Elon University brings a new program to campus to help the university community connect with carpool partners.

Looking for a more affordable and sustainable way to get to campus? Elon University is excited to announce a new partnership with CommuteNC, a platform that helps Elon faculty, staff and students find potential carpool partners and make their commutes more sustainable. This new program replaces the previous Share the Ride NC program.

“CommuteNC is a wonderful addition to Elon’s sustainability efforts because it gives our community a practical way to make a difference in their daily lives. By connecting people who share similar commutes, we can help reduce transportation costs, lower emissions and build a stronger sense of community across campus,” said Kelly Harer, associate director of sustainability for education and outreach.

Create your Elon CommuteNC account by September 11 for a chance to win prizes, including a hammock or a $50 local restaurant gift card! Be sure to use your Elon email address when creating your account because Elon’s CommuteNC program is an Elon-specific network.
