Elon Panhellenic Association won the Innovation in Operations Award awarded by the National Panhellenic Conference for the 2024-25 year.
Elon University’s Panhellenic Association has received the Innovation in Operations Award for the 2024–25 academic year from the National Panhellenic Conference (NPC).
According to the NPC, Innovation Awards are presented to College Panhellenics that demonstrate outstanding and unique contributions in a specific category. The Operations category recognizes excellence in foundational organizational practices that promote consistency, structure and transparency.
To be considered, Elon’s Panhellenic Executive Board responded to questions across six categories: Academics, Access, Belonging and Community Impact, Leadership, Recruitment, Marketing and Operations.
In the Operations category, Elon Panhellenic emphasized its officer structure, transition process, updates to bylaws, budget management and meeting efficiency. For example, the board executed midterm evaluations between the president, advisor and each officer member to reflect on the officer transition process and first semester. These evaluations fostered efficient discussions about accomplishments and areas for growth.

Celia Hearn, the President for Elon’s Panhellenic Association, expressed her unwavering enthusiasm towards receiving the award.
“This award is a wonderful accomplishment and testament to the hard work and commitment of the previous Executive Board and current Executive Board,” Hearn says. “We look forward to growing the Panhellenic community through transparent and comprehensive procedures that enrich and support our chapters!”
The board discussed its annual review of bylaws, which included clarifying officer roles and updating recruitment procedures following the addition of a new chapter. Additionally, Elon Panhellenic introduced roundtable discussions during delegate meetings, which encourage open dialogue and allow delegates to voice concerns and ideas.
These initiatives have strengthened day-to-day processes and increased chapter engagement across campus. Winning this award highlighted Elon Panhellenic’s commitment to operational excellence through building strong procedures and a culture of inclusive and well-structured leadership.
