Elon students, faculty and staff may create a free account with the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education to view sustainability resources and access networking opportunities.
Elon students, faculty and staff are able to get involved with the Association for the Advancement of Sustainability in Higher Education (AASHE).
Elon University has an AASHE Membership, which allows all Elon students, faculty and staff to create an account for free. Membership includes access to informative webinars, important research and publications, networking opportunities and a wide variety of additional sustainability-related resources. It also provides a way to see what other universities are doing to address issues related to sustainability.
Students, faculty and staff may register for AASHE’s email newsletters to receive information and resources related to sustainability directly to their inbox.
Kelly Harer, associate director of sustainability for education and outreach at Elon, recently attended the annual AASHE conference, where she was able to meet and reconnect with others passionate about sustainability and hear about sustainability initiatives at other Universities.
“Attending the AASHE Conference always leaves me feeling invigorated and inspired,” Harer said. “It’s wonderful to be in a space where new ideas and meaningful connections come together, and I love bringing that energy and those ideas back to Elon. I encourage everyone at Elon to explore all that AASHE has to offer—it’s an incredible way to stay connected to the broader movement for sustainability in higher education,”
