To all the incoming freshmen: I would like to invite you to join the Service Learning Community (SLC). If you like to socialize, move in two days before all the other freshmen, make new friends before all other freshmen even move in, helping others around the community, take a class that is only offered to the freshmen in SLC, and live on a floor with other people like you; I invite you to pursue the SLC. You will have 6 sophomore mentors who lived on the floor last year to help you make the transition to college life. People on the floor have other lives versus just SLC. They are in organizations, clubs, sports, greek life, etc., so you don’t have to think your life solely consists of SLC.
