Better Together, Elon's interfaith student group, will host a panel Monday, Nov. 14 at 7:30 p.m. in LaRose Digital Theatre called “The Real Religulous.” The panel will focus on media representations & stereotypes of Christian Evangelicalism, Islam, and Secular Humanism. Better Together Adviser Anthony Hatcher will be the moderator.

Anthony Hatcher, associate professor of communications, attended a seminar for journalism educators at the Poynter Institute in St. Petersburg, Fla., Feb. 7-11. Hatcher was selected to attend a workshop called Teaching Multimedia Journalism. The workshop covered video and audio editing software, as well as media ethics.

Anthony Hatcher, an associate professor of communications, has been confirmed as the new head of the Religion and Media Interest Group, which is affiliated with the Association for Education in Journalism and Mass Communication.
