The offices of University Relations and University Advancement have won seven communications awards in the annual competition sponsored by CASE District III, the Council for the Advancement and Support of Education.

Thirty-five Elon student-athletes received academic all-conference recognition by the Southern Conference during the fall season. Elon ranked #2 among the 12 SoCon schools in the number of athletes earning recognition. To be eligible, a student-athlete must possess at least a 3.2 cumulative grade point average entering the fall season and must have competed in at least one-half of their team’s competitions during the recently-concluded fall campaign.

A meeting between Elon students on a Winter Term study abroad course and a member of parliament in Ghana has received coverage in the Ghana media.

About 25 students gathered Jan. 12 for training in preparation for this week's digital television transition test in North Carolina. The Elon students will staff the statewide hotline phone bank which will be headquartered in the TV studio at Elon's School of Communications.

Associate dean and associate professor of law Alan Woodlief recently authored annual supplements to two North Carolina treatises, Shuford North Carolina Civil Practice and Procedure and North Carolina Law of Damages.
