Elon sophomore Aaron Summers presented his research on the energetics of the supermassive black hole in a distant galaxy at "The X-ray Universe 2011," one of the world's premier conferences on observational black hole research that took place in June in Berlin, Germany.

Elon freshman Todd Calnan presented his research on the energetics of the supermassive black hole in one of our nearest galactic neigbors, Centaurus A, at the 218th meeting of the American Astronomical Society in Boston on May 25.

Dan Evans, an assistant professor of physics, delivered the colloquium at the Department of Physics at Notre Dame University on April 6, 2011.
