Founders Day 2011 to honor professor T.E. Powell ’19

Thomas Edward Powell Jr. ’19, a native North Carolinian who spent his early career as a professor at Elon College before founding the Carolina Biological Supply Company and its related enterprises, will be recognized this week as part of Elon University’s annual Founders Day celebrations to commemorate the lives of administrators, faculty and trustees who impacted the growth of the institution.

Bateman Team hosts festival to improve financial literacy

Elon to host 15th annual jazz festival

Hundreds of middle and high school musicians from North Carolina and Virginia visit campus this week for a two-day jazz festival that includes workshops, performances and opportunities for students to work one-on-one with top jazz clinicians, including this year’s guests, trombonist Tom Brantley and Swedish pianist Per Danielsson.
