Cambodia trip paves way for future service

A group of Elon University students returned from Cambodia last week after a “scouting mission” of sorts to develop an annual service program that will take volunteers each summer to the southeast Asia nation.

Elon team in Zambia details trip on blog

A team from Elon University flew to Zambia in May to gather interviews for a documentary under development by the Periclean Scholars Class of 2009. The group, which is also developing a Winter Term program that involves Habitat for Humanity, shared its work on a blog and has produced a short video explaining its mission.

Thirty students from an elementary school in Washington, D.C., spent two days on campus this month as part of a joint program between the Elon Academy and a nonprofit group dedicated to helping under-served youth prepare for and succeed in college.
