Polly Cornelius

Polly Butler Cornelius, a senior lecturer in the department of music, was a guest soloist at the Norfolk Chamber Consort's 43rd season opening concert on Oct. 3, 2011 in Norfolk, Va. The concert was part of the Ludwig Diehn Series in cooperation with the Norfolk Chamber Consort and the ODU Literary Festival. Cornelius, a soprano, performed selected songs by renowned composer Paul Bowles.

The Greensboro Opera Company Companions invited Elon music faculty and students to present a program for their annual board meeting and gala.

On Saturday, June 18, Polly Cornelius performed as a guest soprano soloist with the Imaginary Friends Ensemble at the French Embassy in Washington, D.C.

Three music performance majors were winners at the NC National Association of Teachers of Singing Classical Vocal competition held Feb. 19 at the UNC School of the Arts.

Polly Cornelius, lecturer in the Department of Music, served as an adjudicator for the N.C. National Association of Teachers of Singing High School Music Theatre vocal competition.

Seven music and music theatre Majors were winners and regional qualifiers at the N.C. National Association of Teachers of Singing Music Theatre Competition.
