Reception with the Legal Community – March 8

On Thursday, March 8, from 5 to 6 p.m., Elon University School of Law invites preceptors and other guests from the legal community to socialize with Elon Law students, faculty, and administration. The event will be held in the Cemala Commons on the second floor of the law school.

Scott Gaylord’s research on judicial selection and the state Supreme Court featured in regional, state and national publications

Elon Law professor Scott Gaylord published a column in the Greensboro News and Record on May 15 detailing concerns with proposed legislation to change North Carolina's method of judicial selection. His research on the low number of cases being decided in recent years by the North Carolina Supreme Court was highlighted in the 2010 Annual Report of The Federalist Society for Law and Public Policy Studies and in the May 6, 2011 edition of North Carolina Lawyers Weekly.

David Levine publishes “The People’s Trade Secrets?”

The article, exploring legal obstacles to public access of government documents and information, was published in the fall 2011 edition of the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review. He also spoke about the Anti-Counterfeiting Trade Agreement on January 7 at the Association of American Law Schools annual meeting in Washington, DC.
