Mary Knight-McKenna and Heidi Hollingsworth, associate professors of education, presented at the conferences of the Division for Early Childhood (DEC) of the Council for Exceptional Children, and the North Carolina Infant/Young Child Mental Health Association.

 

Faculty and students from Elon’s elementary education program represented at the N.C. Council of Teachers of Mathematics state conference on Nov. 1 and 2.

All faculty and teaching staff are invited to attend this Center for Writing Excellence-sponsored lunch workshop offered by Associate Professor of Mathematics Karen Yokley on "Teaching Writing and Writing-to-Learn in Math and other Quantitative Fields." 

 

The Professor of Art History discussed archival revelations in the study of Belle Époque painter Madeleine Lemaire.

Sophie Adamson, associate professor of French and chair of the Department of World Languages and Cultures, presented at the annual conference of the Foreign Language Association of Teachers of French in Durham, N.C.

 

Buffie Longmier-Avital, associate professor of psychology, spoke about her jounrey through graduate school to a position as associate professor while being a woman of color. 

Elaine Bradley, drummer and singer in the rock band Neon Trees, will be speaking with students in the Music Production and Recording Arts Program during her visit Nov. 5-7.

The altar will be open to the public until Friday, Nov. 2, at 1:30 pm.

Joyce Davis, professor of exercise science, presented at the International Association for Dance Science and Medicine Conference. 

Kupatadze, senior lecturer in Spanish, in collaboration with a colleague from Aarhus University in Denmark, delivered a presentation at ISSoTL in Norway titled “Inclusivity in Academia: Perspectives, Experiences and Roles of International Teaching Faculty”
