Four accomplished Elon University School of Law graduates – David L. Morrow II '07 L’10, Jennifer L. Reutter L’10, Alvaro De La Calle L’12 and Elizabeth “Beth” Klein L’12 – were recognized this month for their contributions to the legal profession and support of their alma mater.

Fourteen board members and guests visited campus April 8 to share their professional insight and receive an up-close look at the school’s facilities expansion.

Brett Evans ’13, co-owner of Piedmont Biofarm in Pittsboro, gave a talk titled “From Liberal Arts to Local Agriculture: a Young Farmer’s Views on Food.”

The author will talk about her experience researching her first book, "Joy: Poet, Seeker, and the Woman Who Captivated C. S. Lewis," which tells the story of the intricate life of Joy Davidman, the woman who captivated C.S. Lewis late in his life.

Alumni Olivia Varney, Hannah Allen and Jamie Albright, who majored in public health studies, Elon student Jenna Nelson and faculty members, Alexis Moore and Cindy Fair, all presented at the Society of Adolescent Health and Medicine in Washington, D.C.

The reporter at KOMO-TV in Seattle and recipient of four regional Emmys during his television career presented one of his awards to Communications Dean Paul Parsons to display in the school’s lobby.

The awards program highlights and celebrates alumni who have graduated within the past decade and who are distinguished in their professions and invested in the future of Elon and its community.

The Elon alumnus was riding the subway just one Metro stop away from the Maelbeek station when the blast occurred on March 22.

A.L. Hook Assistant Professor Chad Awtrey and alumni Brett Barkley '15, Nicole Miles '15, Chris Shill '14, and Erin Strosnider '14 published their paper, "Degree 12 2-adic fields with automorphism group of order 4", in the most recent issue of the Rocky Mountain Journal of Mathematics.
