Elon LEADS Campaign chair Chris Martin ’78 P’13 announced a special campaign initiative to allow alumni, parents and friends to establish a lasting legacy at Elon by placing the university in their estate plans to fund scholarships and other key institutional priorities.

The recent graduate worked through COVID-19 and the Texas winter storm to generate funds for Austin Pets Alive!, a no-kill animal shelter in Austin.

Elon was recently recognized as a top producer of Fulbright students, and McKelvey is among the scores of Elon alumni who have taught English or conducted research abroad through the program.

Together, the Elon community raised over $3.4 million from 5,609 gifts and unlocked numerous opportunities for Elon students and the community.

Ryan Vet ’13 assumes the day-to-day operations of the Newchip Accelerator, a remote, global startup accelerator program.

Mike Kanner ’02 is recognized for his financial advising experience and approach to working with his clients.

Grove is a math teacher at West Lake Middle School in Wake County, N.C.

The Peace Corps, in commemoration of its 60th anniversary, will host a virtual panel discussion at Elon focused on the value of international service.

The Sunday, Feb. 28, event will include a panel featuring Black alumni who will lead a discussion on the depictions of the Black community in television and film.

Eady performed Crusell’s Clarinet Concerto No. 1 and won the annual soloist competition held Sunday, Feb. 21 at Shenandoah Conservatory.
