Department of Human Service Studies faculty member Carmen Monico, and 2018 Leadership Prize Recipient David Duncan presented at the 2018 Latino Social Work Organization held at the University of Illinois-Chicago this past week.   

 

His study of an early 20th century icon receives award for research on media and war from the American Journalism Historians Association. 

Randall Bowman, archivist and assistant librarian, has been recognized for his expertise and experience with the historical preservation of archival materials.

The associate professor of communications analyzed how U.S. President Donald Trump and Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto communicated during the first 100 days of Trump’s term regarding the community of Mexican immigrants living in the United States.

Meeting highlights included Elon’s Beta Alpha Psi president winning the Project Run With It competition and Professor Susan Anderson receiving the Business Information Professional of the Year Award.

Faculty members were recognized on Aug. 20 for excellence in mentoring, service and leadership, teaching and scholarship.
