Elon University has released its President's List and Dean's List academic recognitions for the fall semester.

The university was recognized this month by the Carnegie Foundation for the Advancement of Teaching, in partnership with the American Council on Education, for its commitment to community and civic engagement.

Baker’s work will draw on her extensive experience supporting ePortfolios in teacher education, particularly through her role as edTPA coordinator for Elon’s teacher preparation programs. 

Through a 2025 Pulitzer Center Reporting Fellowship, the Elon junior traveled to Costa Rica to investigate illegal hammerhead shark fishing and the enforcement gaps threatening the endangered species.

An upcoming book by Associate Professor of Sport Management David Bockino was recently featured by the New York Times as one of the nonfiction books "everyone will be talking about in 2026."

Nearly 200 students are recognized for their work with the community during fall 2025.

University Magazine has ranked Elon University as one of the 'best high-tech college campuses.' The data-informed ranking highlights universities setting the standard for high-tech education in 2026.

The Elon alumna and Teach for Alamance Fellow earned the district-wide award recognizing her ability to foster connections with students, aided by the relationships with Elon faculty in the Dr. Jo Watts Williams School of Education.

On Thursday, January 15, 2026, Yasmine Arrington Brooks ’15, will be recognized as a 2025 Washingtonian of the Year by Washingtonian Magazine.

Saniya Pangare L’25 was recognized during Elon Law’s 18th Commencement with the David Gergen Award for Leadership & Professionalism, the School of Law’s highest award, named in honor of the presidential advisor and longtime chair of the school’s advisory board.
